Today I am going to talk about the minor arcana in the tarot and specifically the Prince of Swords card. When you look at this card you see an image of a man who is sitting in a chariot and it's being pulled by his children instead of a horse and if you look at him he doesn't have the best of the seat in this chariot because he's barely in there. He's got his sword in his right hand and it's held up over the top of his head. You see the colors green and yellow in there also.
When you pull this card there are several things that I think are going on. For one thing, it indicates a time when you may feel really bored, or you may feel like you are not able to use your natural creativity the way you really would like to. And I think a good theme of this card would be "Don't fence me in!"
So, you are very committed to being able to get out of this rut and of being able to use your natural creativity in a better way. The children are out of control and that represents a part of you that has been out of control but now you are making a commitment to yourself to get your energy focused and to get back on your path and to make some changes in your life that will be more productive and more in harmony with your soul's design and mission.
This card is an air card. It's called the air of air. It's representing the element of air, the world of the mind, of our thoughts, and this person has maybe been sabotaging themself and playing the mental monsters in their mind. They may be replaying memories in the past where they feel like they might have disappointed themself or others or maybe they let themself down. But now they are committed to putting that behind them and taking that sword and cutting away and banishing those mental monsters and making some progress.
If it is a woman and you pull this card it could indicate a younger man that might be coming into your life and maybe someone with an air sign, like a Gemini or a Libra or an Aquarian person. It could also be that the person might be of help for you to help you break out of some stagnated programs that you have been running.
This is a short interpretation of this card. There are more articles on the tarot and the reversals available on my blog and my iTunes account which you can access on the side of the page.
